Our 2015 Forum is themed "Decoding Expectations".

The day included two panels on expecations seen in art/media and how to dialogue effectively with men, a networking lunch and skillshare workshops on shaping and growing your career/business. Learn more about our 2015 Speakers!

9:30am Registration and Breakfast

 

10:00am Crafting the Narrative of the Woman

A discussion on the news, media and artistic representation of women. Panelists include Ashley Ford (BuzzFeed), Zeba Blay (Huffington Post) , MaameYaa Boafo (star of An African City), Nneka Nwosu  (ABC Boston), and Cathy Wasserman (Entrepreneur). Moderated by Nana-Ama Kyerematen (Founder, AfriDiaspora).

1:00pm Men's Panel on Decoding Expectations

Join us for a dynamic conversation with men to discuss gender expectations in the workplace, home and society at large. The panel features Tobi Atte (Relationship Blogger, IJustMetMe), Kelechi Okere (Sales Director, Elsevier), Tope Esan (founder, Nigerian Entertainment Awards), Cory Provost  (District Leader, 58th Assembly) and Nana Menya Ayensu (Assoc. Vice President, GE Capital). Moderated by Julie Wadley.

Led by Fariha Roisin, author and co-founder of "Two Brown Girls." Fariha founded her own dream job and will cover how to turn your passion into a living.

 

Winning Women: Taking ownership of your career 

Effective career management starts with YOU first. This session is designed to help you assess your values and skills in order to create the career you want. Whether you are a seasoned professional or at the start of your career, this session will address some fundamental building blocks that are relevant to everyone. Led by Jena Burgess, a millennial entrepreneur and career coach and Ivy Kusinga, former VP, Talent and Development.
